LONGVIEW, Texas (AP) - A 34-year-old woman who posed as a teenager and spent months enrolled as a sophomore at an East Texas school has pleaded guilty to failure to identify herself.
A judge in Longview on Tuesday sentenced Charity Johnson to 85 days in jail in a plea agreement.
Longview police arrested Johnson after a May 12 disturbance at a home when the occupant who let Johnson stay with her learned she was not a teenager. Police at the time issued Johnson, who said she was born in 1997, a trespass warning.
Police later determined Johnson was older.
Officials at New Life Christian School in Longview said Johnson enrolled last October with a guardian and indicated she was 15 years old.
Johnson has served nearly a month in jail since her arrest.
