HOUSTON – Job-seekers in Houston can start a new career, and the training won’t cost them a dime.

It’s all thanks to a new program that’s training and hiring people for green jobs – jobs like installing solar panels and other solar and weatherization devices.

SER Jobs for Progress and HCC have partnered up to pay for the training.

SER is actively recruiting right now, and there are 250 positions available.

Complete the course, and you’ll get hired.

The training course begins in January.

To qualify, you must have a low income, be a displaced worker or be a victim of Hurricane Ike.
