5-year-old Jasper Poole was attacked by a pit bull in March, leaving him with a severed calf muscle that required surgery and more than 300 stitches in his leg.

The dog dragged Poole by the leg down a flight of stairs and ripped off his pants — but his Under Armour shirt was completely unscathed.

Poole’s father, Nigel, wrote on Reddit that Poole called it his “superhero” shirt. Poole’s mother wrote to Under Armour to tell them the story, and the company sent him a wardrobe fit for a superhero.

Poole is doing physical therapy to recover from his injuries, and is in good spirits.
