GALVESTON, Texas—With 29 days to go until Election Day, 14 days if you consider early voting starts Oct. 22, the marathon 2012 election season is in the home stretch.
In addition to the races for president, U.S. Senate and congress, Galveston County voters have several county offices, state representative and state senate races to cast ballots.
Voters in League City have three council seats and charter amendments on their ballots, while some voters in Galveston also have a school board trustee election.
Because of the weekend and today’s Columbus Day holiday; the last day to register to vote for the general election is Tuesday.
When voting begins, Galveston County voters will get to enjoy the convenience of voting centers on Election Day.
Already a common feature during early voting, more than 40 voting centers will be set up on Election Day.
