HOUSTON – Metro police are investigating a series car burglaries at a Park and Ride located at Highway 59 near West Bellfort.

Metro police said 26 car break ins have taken place since March 20.

“Now I am a little bit uneasy to be quite honest. A little bit scared. So I would like to know what is being done,” said Irene Turnbull-May, a Park and Ride patron.

Metro police said it did capture some images of a suspect on its security cameras that are monitored remotely.

Metro said it has increased police patrols and there is a $5,000 Crime Stoppers reward for information leading to an arrest of a suspect or suspects.
