DALLAS — The search continues Wednesday for a man who may have drowned in White Rock Lake.

Dallas police and fire department personnel searched the water Tuesday afternoon for the man but didn't find him.

Witnesses said two men jumped from a pedestrian bridge that crosses the water just south of Mockingbird Lane, but only one of them made it back to shore.

Several people jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue the man who went under.

The bridge was closed to pedestrian traffic as the search continued. No victim had been located as night fell Tuesday. Police said the search will resume Wednesday morning.

Firefighters said the water where the man jumped is about eight feet deep.
