SPOKANE, Wash - -The family of a Spokane man who died during the Seahawks’ Super Bowl victory said his last day was his best.
Kevin Farmer, 58, was such a big Seahawks fan, he never missed a game according to his family.
“He never gave up on the Seahawks,” said his son, Genesis Veronon.
Veronon said Super Bowl XLVIII was his father’s best day, but might have been too overwhelming.
“My dad was confident in the win,” Veronon said. “There was no question about that.”
Farmer had some health issues related to high blood pressure. He suffered a heart attack during the Seahawks’ Super Bowl win.
The family was blindsided, but Veronon said remembering his dad in his happiest moments was helping him get through the pain.
“I know he couldn’t have been happier in that moment, to see his team get there and take care of business,” he said. “I know my father was on top of the world.”
Veronon described his dad as a tremendous person, full of life.
“He was a great guy and he will be dearly missed,” he said.
