HOUSTON – Power was restored and service resumed on the Metro Main Street/Red Line Light Rail system after an hour-long outage Wednesday afternoon.
The power went out around 1:40 p.m. when scaffolding equipment from a bridge construction area fell on the rail power grid at Fannin and Bellows, near Texas Children’s Hospital.
Metro police assisted patrons who were stuck along the rail line, and transit officials established a bus bridge to keep commuters moving.
