STAFFORD, Texas—A teenager was stabbed with a screwdriver during a fight at Stafford High School Friday morning.
Police said two 17-year-old boys were arguing outside of a back office on campus around 8:20 a.m. when one stabbed the other in the chest and stomach.
The boys apparently were involved in a long-running feud.
Life Flight was called to the scene, and the injured student was airlifted to Memorial Hermann. The Stafford ISD superintendent said the teen's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
School officials said no one else was involved in the incident, and the other students were all safe.
The school was temporarily put on lockdown, but that order has since been lifted.
The suspect was taken into custody.
School officials made calls to parents and said they plan to send a letter home with students about the incident.
