HOUSTON – Gov. Rick Perry has thrown his support behind a bill that would ban abortion after 20 weeks.
The governor said at that point a fetus feels pain. He spoke to several pro-life groups Tuesday at the Source for Women Clinic in Houston.
Perry said the legislature will spend a lot of time during its upcoming session “protecting life.”
A similar fetal pain law in Arizona is under review by a federal appeals court.
