HOUSTON—This weekend law enforcement officers are out looking for drunk drivers and it’s a “no refusal” weekend, so they can obtain an instant warrant for blood-alcohol testing.
Over a period of 24 hours, 17 people were arrested for the first time for driving under the influence. For three of those individuals this was their second time and for one it was his third time.
Harris County leads the country in DWI fatalities so law enforcement officials are giving the problem extra attention.
