New manufacturing plant to open in Brazoria County

BRAZORIA COUNTY -- There will be soon job openings in Brazoria County.

The company that makes Post-It Notes and Scotchgard fabric protectors is building a new plant in Angleton.

According to "The Facts" newspaper, 3M bought a former barrel manufacturing plant in the city. The plant will manufacture corrosive-protection products to be used on metals.

Employees will be a mix of local hires and transfers.
