Man fell to his death from cabin balcony on Carnival cruise ship

During a seven-day Caribbean cruise aboard the Carnival Magic, a 39-year-old male guest accidentally fell from his cabin balcony and landed on an open deck area three decks below, on Tuesday morning.

GALVESTON, Texas -- During a seven-day Caribbean cruise aboard the Carnival Magic, a 39-year-old male guest accidentally fell from his cabin balcony and landed on an open deck area three decks below, on Tuesday morning.

The victim was sitting on the balcony railing and accidentally fell, according to witnesses who were on the balcony with him at the time.

The guest died.

Carnival’s Care Team is providing assistance and support to the guest’s traveling companions and family back home.

At the time of the accident, the ship was in the Gulf of Mexico en route to its first port of call at Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan.
