HOUSTON – A man was arrested at the Harris County Municipal Court building after security personnel said they found a pistol inside his bag.
The incident happened Monday around lunchtime as Juan Pablo Lopez was checking his bag through an X-ray machine.
An HPD officer at the court building was notified and Lopez told the officer he forgot the weapon, a semi-automatic 9mm pistol, was inside the bag.
Lopez was arrested and charged with felony possession of a prohibited weapon on government property. He has since bonded out.
