HOUSTON -- A man wanted for second degree murder in the death of his girlfriend in Louisiana has been arrested in Katy, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
JPSO sent out a release early Monday morning indicating that Pedro Alberto Monterosso-Navas, also known as Wilson Rigoberto Mena, had been arrested in a trailer park west of Houston.
All three of his children were with him at the time of his arrest and are reportedly fine. They are now in the custody of Texas authorities.
Investigators were told of a phone conversation that took place early Monday morning between Monterosso-Navas' child and a female friend who was staying in Katy.
The mother of that child called the JPSO 911 Center, which ultimately led to Monterroso-Navas' arrest in Texas on Monday morning.
The man is accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death.
