NEW YORK — Jim Kelly is scheduled to start treatment on his oral cancer Monday in New York City, but he’s out of the hospital for the weekend and spending time with his family.

The Hall of Famer and former Buffalo Bills quarterback was spotted at the New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden on Friday night with his wife Jill and Erin, his daughter.

“My big battle starts Monday, when I start my radiation and chemo,” Kelly said in an interview with MSG Network between quarters, “and I hope when it’s all over they get everything, but right now we’re praying for a miracle.”

Kelly said he feels “sometimes good. sometimes bad,” and added that he probably shouldn’t have come out but he wanted to reward his daughter for making the dean’s list at school.

Kelly expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, on social media, and in person.

“It makes me feel good that there’s so many people praying for me out there,” Kelly said.
