HOUSTON—A 42-year-old woman was killed in a single-car crash early Friday after a fight with her husband. Harris County deputies arrived at the scene at Raven South and Cypress North to find the woman’s vehicle smashed into a pole. Investigators said the woman appeared to have run a red light and crashed without ever braking. "She had just left her house. Her and her husband got into an argument. We’ve spoken to him. He said that she was intoxicated and told him that she was going to leave to buy more beer," Sgt. S. Wolverton of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. Wolverton said the woman’s husband tried to stop her, but she jumped in the car and took off at a high rate of speed. "Just moments after she left he heard the crash. He came to the scene," Wolverton said. Wolverton said the woman wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. No one else was injured.
