HOUSTON – Investigators say a Houston man sexually assaulted a female employee in the family restroom at their place of work.

Carlos Godinez, 39, is charged with sexual assault.

According to court documents, Godinez and the victim were scheduled to work the early shift on February 13, 2012, and they were the only people in the building.

The victim told investigators that Godinez said they should begin by checking the restrooms.

After she came out of the women’s restroom, she said Godinez told her to check the family restroom and handed her several rolls of toilet paper.

But after she entered the restroom, she said Godinez followed her and locked the door behind him.

The victim said Godinez sexually assaulted her in the restroom, despite her pleas for him to stop.

Afterward, she said she ran out the back door of the building and to her sister’s house, where they called the police.

Investigators said they got an audio recording of Godinez confessing to the assault.

Charges were filed on April 16, 2012.
