SAN ANTONIO -- A high-speed chase on I-35 Sunday afternoon topped speeds of more than 100 miles an hour, according to BCSO.
Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies raced after a truck reported stolen from a south-side flea market.
They identified the suspect as, 29-year-old, Felix Garza.
A family from Houston was in town taking a family vacation, when the trip took a turn.
"Fiesta weekend, go to the Riverwalk," Justino Olguin, the truck owner's cousin, said of the family's plans in town.
They ended up capturing the most unexpected of family memories on video.
"We saw the guy pulling off with the truck so we got in our car and then we started chasing him."
Peeling out from Traders Village and heading north on I-35, the family said the chase was intense.
"It got crazy," Olguin said, "weaving in and out of traffic, putting peoples lives at risk."
"The truck alone is probably worth alone, with everything on it, probably like $80,000."
Eventually sheriff's deputies joined the family in its pursuit.
"One of them had a gun drawn at him and the other one just handcuffed him and put him in the truck," a witness said, who asked not to be identified.
Fortunately for the family, no one was hurt.
Garza was charged with vehicular theft and evading arrest.
