HOUSTON – Three people suffered minor rashes after they were exposed to a suspicious substance Thursday at the Capital One Bank building in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The substance was inside an envelope found at about 8:45 a.m. on the fourth floor of the building located in the 5700 block of Westheimer.
Thirteen people were exposed and isolated on the fourth floor, and only three people had a slight rash, investigators said.
No one was transported. The Houston Fire Department and Houston Police Department were on the scene investigating. The FBI was also contacted.
The substance was later determined to not be hazardous, investigators said. They said they do not know where the envelope came from.
