Truck crashes into Metro bus stop
HOUSTON—Two men were injured Tuesday afternoon when a flatbed truck smashed into a Metro bus stop in southwest Houston.
Officials with Metro said the truck was traveling down Post Oak near Ridge Creek around 12:30 p.m. when its brakes apparently failed.
It hit the corner of the bus stop, where the two men were standing, shattered a trash can and came to a rest against a Subway sandwich shop.
Both of the men who were at the bus stop were taken to Ben Taub, but Metro officials said their injuries were not life-threatening.
Information about the driver’s condition was not yet available.
