DALLAS -- Police were gathered outside Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church at 1660 West Camp Wisdom Road Monday morning where they say a man died after what they call a "fatal cutting."

Officers say the victim wandered up to the church around 5:50 a.m. looking for help. A few people tried coming to his aid after calling police but were unsuccessful in saving him.

Around 6:30 a.m. Dallas police officer Kevin Wetherington tweeted the news.

At this hour, police are not commenting on the victim's injuries. The church's senior pastor Dr. Tony Evans says the man suffered from a "medical emergency" that did not occur on the church's campus.

The victim is described as a white man around 43 years old. He was not a member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.

The bible school across the street remains open.
