HOUSTON – A young man was killed in a single-car crash at Cypress Rosehill and Huffmeister Wednesday night, Precinct 4 deputies said.
It happened around 9 p.m.
Deputies said a driver in a Toyota was traveling northbound on Cypress Rosehill at a high rate of speed when he lost control and smashed into two power poles.
The driver was killed on impact.
Witnesses told investigators a second car was speeding alongside the Toyota before the crash, but that car did not stop.
Deputies said they could not confirm if the two cars were racing.
The victim’s identity was not released.
