CYPRESS, Texas - Three men accused of throwing so-called “acid bombs” at a home in Cypress have been charged in the crime, Harris County deputies said.

The homeowner had surveillance video that showed at least one person lobbing explosives in the 13500 block of Gainesway Drive on  Dec. 19, 2012. The most recent incident happened on Jan. 4.

David Kaylor, 17, Matthew Miller, 18, and Max Thomas, 20, confessed to the crimes on Jan. 8 and apologized to the homeowner, deputies said.

All three have been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, a third-degree felony.

Investigators said the explosives, which were made from household ingredients, contained dangerous chemicals.

The trio said they did it as a joke and picked the house at random while driving around.
