TEXAS CITY, Texas — A fight over a man left one woman suffering stab wounds and another jailed, authorities said Tuesday.

Bond for Racheal Rene Giglio, 21, of Texas City, was set at $10,000 on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, stemming from a 9:48 a.m. Monday incident in the 1200 block of Hunter Drive, authorities said.

Misti R. Hernandez, 23, told police she was in her driveway when a dark sport utility vehicle arrived and a woman approached her in a hostile manner, Texas City police Sgt. Joe Stanton said.

"The victim stated Racheal Giglio then began to yell at her about ‘taking her man,’" Stanton said in a statement.

Hernandez suffered a puncture wound to her left side and lacerations to her nose, left biceps and left forearm, Stanton said.

Hernandez was taken to the University of Texas Medical Branch in serious condition, Stanton said.

She was listed in good condition Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
