SANTA FE— Police arrested a cleaning lady who is accused of stealing from her clients.
One of them said she’ll never trust the same way again.
“I’d rather been spit in the face than for somebody to steal from me,” said Jeanette Miller, a widowed grandmother who lives in Santa Fe. “That’s not good.”
Krystal Flores faces charged of felony theft.
Authorities say the 27-year-old ripped off clients in Santa Fe and League City.
She’s accused of stealing jewelry from Miller, who notified police when she noticed her wedding rings were missing.
“I was married 54 years before my husband passed away. And those rings meant a lot to me,” she said.
Police said they managed to locate the rings at a Texas City pawn shop.
Miller said Flores should be punished for the crime.
“I feel she’s taking advantage of older people. She’s taking advantage of people’s trust,” the 74-year-old woman said.
Flores was being held at the Galveston County Jail on an $8,000 bond. Authorities said they believe there could be more victims who don’t even realize it yet.
