HOUSTON—Folks lined up in Baytown Tuesday night to support the families of two teenagers who were involved in a deadly crash over the weekend.

Police were chasing burglary suspects when the suspects slammed into a car with Shawn Williams and Shay Hollinshead inside.

Williams died and Hollinshead was critically injured.

“It’s so shameless and so useless that this happened to my son and to Shawn—the best of kids. You couldn’t’ have had better kids,” said Marlene Hawkinson.

The Chick-fil-A on Garth Road donated part of its proceeds to both boys’ families.

Funeral plans for Williams have not been announced.

Shannon Chauncey, the driver of the pickup truck, was the only one still in custody Tuesday. Jennifer Jenkins, the passenger was free on bond. Baytown police said she is now being sought for theft and evading arrest.
