WOODLAND HILLS, California -— Police chased a suspect on a motorcycle on the 101 Freeway for about 40 minutes Wednesday before the pursuit ended in a strange foot bail in East Los Angeles, according to authorities.

The suspect was originally wanted for driving erratically in the Woodland Hills area, CBS Los Angeles reported.

Police say the man has been driving at excessive speeds (upwards of 80 mph), as well as driving on the wrong side of the road.

During the pursuit the suspect was seen dangerously bobbing and weaving between cars.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky2, said the suspect has had “several close calls.”

He also reported the suspect has reached into his trench coat several times.

The chase has gone through Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Hollywood and Echo Park.

The pursuit ended with a foot bail in East LA.

The suspect raced towards a house he seemed to be familiar with.

A man came out of the house and moved the suspect’s bike.

The suspect then walked out of the house, took off his trench coat, and walked out like he was helping one of the home’s residents.

Sky2 followed the suspect as he walked away from the vicinity.

Mundel watched as the suspect walked into an AutoZone. At least 6 police officers swarmed on the store within a minute.

“The most bizarre ending of a pursuit I’ve seen in a long time,” said Mundel.
