HOUSTON—Charges have been dropped against an HISD tutor who was caught with a gun in her car on the Fondren Middle School campus.
Last week a tip sent police to Charetta Kemp’s car where the gun was found in her glove compartment. When police confronted the 29-year-old she apparently admitted to having the gun in her car.
Kemp’s mother said it belonged to a friend.
The district attorney’s office said it’s not clear whether her car was even on school property, so the charges were dropped.
