HOUSTON – A judge on Thursday ordered that a 28-year-old Houston man remain behind bars pending trial on sex-trafficking charges.

Jeremy Jacobi "J Moe" Scott was indicted by a grand jury on July 11, 2012, and arrested two days later by members of the Houston FBI Innocence Lost Task Force.

Scott is accused of one count of trafficking a child under 18 for commercial sex.

According to information presented in court Thursday, Scott started picking the 14-year-old girl up at a school bus stop and driving her around town in a bid to gain her trust back in February of 2011.

Prosecutors allege he provided the child with marijuana and took her to a music studio, where he recorded rap songs.

Investigators said the lyrics of some of Scott’s songs glorify prostitution and pimping.

Once he gained the victim’s trust, prosecutors claim Scott sexually assaulted her, photographed her and used those photos to place ads for her services on a website.

According to information presented in court, the victim saw Scott beat another girl he’d recruited to work for him, and kept all the money the girls earned.

If convicted, Scott could face up to life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
