SAN DIEGO -- A 91-year-old woman just ran her way into the record books by completing the Rock and Roll San Diego Marathon.

It took Harriette Thompson seven hours, seven minutes and 42 seconds to run the 26.2 mile course. That’s the fastest time for anyone over 90.

Thompson is a cancer survivor and ran to benefit the Leukemia Society.

She ran her first marathon at age 76.
