HOUSTON – Three Houston-area banks were robbed within 90 minutes of each other Monday, and investigators were searching for the suspects.
The first robbery happened at a Wells Fargo at Voss and San Felipe.
In that case, investigators said the suspects walked into the bank around 11:05 a.m., demanded cash and fled in a brown Cutlass Oldsmobile.
The second robbery happened at 11:15 a.m. at the Woodforest Bank on FM 249.
In that incident, a lone suspect walked in and passed the teller a note, saying he would kill everyone in the bank if the teller didn’t give him money.
Finally, around 12:30 p.m., investigators said a suspect robbed a Wells Fargo at 290 and Skinner.
That suspect carjacked two different drivers at knifepoint during his getaway.
