ST. GABRIEL, La. - State Police say the truck of missing LSU senior Chris Broussard has been found off Highway 30 in Iberville Parish.
St. Gabriel Police Chief Kevin Ambeau told WAFB-TV that a body was found in the truck, which was in a waterway.
The truck was spotted by a Baton Rouge Police helicopter.
According to WAFB-TV, Broussard left a party at Bogie's Bar & Grill around 1 a.m. Tuesday, which is near campus, and texted his mother that he was coming to their home in Ascension Parish, the family said.
According to the WAFB report, Broussard did not answer his mother's text when he didn't come home by 3 a.m., and he didn't show up for work later that day.
Broussard was last seen wearing a long-sleeved, white Columbia shirt, red shorts and a blue visor, according to WAFB. He is a member of the Theta Chi fraternity and works for Exerfit part time.
