HOUSTON -- A tip uncovered two major marijuana operations in The Woodlands, investigators said.

Montgomery County deputies said they found the plants growing in the bedrooms of two homes located one block away from each other.

Deputies removed close to 100 marijuana plants from one home and even more from the other.

They said each plant was capable of producing a pound of marijuana and every pound has a street value of $5,500.
