TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Members of a Tacoma Catholic church found hate messages and shattered windows as they left after a Christmas Eve mass.
KIRO-TV (http://is.gd/1ewpyE ) reports the church had experienced similar vandalism in the past. There's a protection order against a man who vandalized Holy Cross Catholic Church several times over the past few years.
Tacoma police say they are investigating the incident as a hate crime.
The large windows are now covered with cardboard, but Christmas festivities will continue at the church.
