HOUSTON – An 18-wheeler flipped, injuring its driver and closing a ramp to the 610 North Loop late Sunday.
Houston TranStar reported that the incident occurred at 10:30 p.m. on the Eastex Freeway southbound ramp to the North Loop eastbound.
The driver said his cargo shifted while making the turn in the ramp, flipping the truck. The driver was injured when the CB radio in his cab fell, hitting him in the head. He was treated at the scene.
The truck was uprighted after crews unloaded its cargo of boxed wiring, and the ramp reopened just after 5 a.m. Monday.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
