HOUSTON -- Two students accused of making terroristic threats were arrested Friday at Katy ISD’s Memorial Parkway Junior High, district spokesman Steve Stanford said.
The arrests came on Friday morning after school officials responded to reports provided by students and parents that threats had been made against the school.
It was rumored that there was a weapon on campus, but no weapons were found on campus, Stanford said. He said Katy ISD police will be on hand on Monday morning for extra security and counselors will be available to talk to students who may have concerns about the arrests.
Information about the two students taken into custody was not available.
“I do not have any other details regarding specifics of the investigation at this time,” Stanford said.
