A Wisconsin man was sentenced Friday to 60 years in prison for listing his 4-year-old daughter for sex on Craigslist.

A jury sentenced Andrew Turley, 30, after he was convicted of trafficking of a child and compelling prostitution of someone under the age of 18.

Harris County prosecutors said Turley listed his daughter for sex under the heading, “Play with Daddie’s [sic] Little Girl” on Craigslist in 2015. They say Turley thought he was emailing a potential “John” who was responding to his Craigslist ad, but he was actually exchanging messages with an undercover Houston Police officer.

Prosecutors said over the course of about 70 emails, Turley told the potential customer he had a girl “younger than 10” that he would give “sleep meds” for an encounter and charged $1,000 for two hours with his daughter.

Officials said Turley implied through e-mail the girl might be too young for intercourse, but everything else was OK.

The undercover officer and Turley scheduled a time to meet in Houston when Turley was set to visit his daughter at her mother’s apartment. The officer said when he arrived at the apartment, Turley checked the cash and took him to a bedroom where the girl was in a bed and appeared to be “under the influence of an unknown substance.” The officer then arrested Turley.

Turley was sentenced to 30 years on each charge that must be served consecutively at the prosecutors’ request. He is required to serve a minimum of 45 years before he is eligible for parole.
