A few weeks ago I posted How to Make Your Own Dish Soap and have used it multiple times since. It doesn't get all sudsy like your typical dish soap but it does work. Since then, I have had several readers e-mail in telling me they had used a different version which worked well for them so I thought I would post that too. This recipe comes from All You Magazine.

{Make Your Own Dishwashing Soap}

2/3 Cup Castile Soap (Available at health food stores and Target)

3 tsp Vegetable Glycerin

5 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

20 Drops Lemon Essential Oil

1 1/3 Cup Water

Directions: Simply mix the ingredients together in an old Dawn (or other brand) container. Shake well before you use it. It won't make all the suds either like you are used to but it works and it smells amazing. Essential Oils can be found at health food stores and have multiple uses. They are worth the investment of $6-$8 plus a little will go a LONG way so you won't be replacing them all that much.
