I posted this a couple of years ago and just made a few more this week so I thought I'd bring it back up! Check out these homemade coasters for Christmas. I met up with Fat N Sassy Mama Caryn Ross in Oklahoma City to find out how to make these snazzy gifts.

Here's what you need:

Unfinished tiles (available at Lowe's or Home Depot)

StayzOn Ink (in two colors, we used red and black and purchased it at Hobby Lobby)

Design Stamp (available at Hobby Lobby)

Initial Stamps (also available at Hobby Lobby)

Clear-coat

Be sure to use the 40% off coupon for Hobby Lobby

These are so easy to make and normally run about $23 at craft stores. Once you've invested in the stamp gear, you can make these for as little as $3.

First, wipe down the tiles a bit to remove excess dust. Use your design stamp first on your stamp, then stamp on the initial or smaller design you are wanting. Let sit a few minutes and spray with clear-coat. You'll be surprised how easy this is. Wrap it up pretty and pass it on for teacher gifts or your special someone!

While it is tempting to purchase a cheaper version of ink, StayzOn will actually stay on when you place your drinks on it while other ink will run. So, it's important to use that brand. I picked it up on clearance for $4. Enjoy!
