KHOU broadcasts public service announcements that are generic in nature and are not "date sensitive." They are not about specific events but about ongoing issues and organizations in need of support. PSA's should be submitted to Channel 11 on broadcast quality Beta tape. They may be dropped by or mailed to: KHOU, 1945 Allen Parkway, Houston, Texas 77019. Be sure to include contact information along with your tape.

Community Calendar

If you have an event you would like us to consider for Channel 11's Community Calendar, e-mail information about your event at least two weeks in advance to communitycalendar@khou.com or fax to 713-284-8783. Look for the Community Calendar, Friday's and Saturday mornings during 11News broadcasts.

News Coverage of an Event

If you'd like Channel 11 to consider covering your event, e-mail the information to assignments@khou.com. Be sure to include who, what, where, when and why. You may also submit information in writing in care of Assignments, KHOU-TV, 1945 Allen Parkway, Houston, Texas 77019. Be sure to submit your event at least two weeks prior.

KHOU Personality Appearances

If you would like a Ch. 11 news personality to consider appearing at your community event, please e-mail information at least one month in advance, to Lisa Shumate at lshumate@khou.com. You may also mail your request to Appearances at KHOU-TV, 1945 Allen Parkway, Houston, TX 77019. Please be sure to specify your anchor preference.

If you are specifically requesting an appearance from Deborah Duncan, please note that she is unavailable for lunch time events during the week. If you have an event you would like her to consider, please fax a written request at least 3 months in advance, to 713-284-8783.

Station Tours

Want a sneak peek behind the scenes of a TV station? Well, you're in luck! Channel 11 gives station tours, except during the months of February, May and November. Tours will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. All children must be over the age of 10 and no more than 10 per group, please.
