Len Cannon
Len Cannon joined 11 News in April of 2006. The award-winning reporter and anchor has covered stories around the block, around the nation and around the World -- everything from hurricanes to forest fires.
Some of his most memorable assignments include: The 9/11 attack on New York City's World Trade Center; flying in a B-52 bomber on a bombing mission to Kosovo; and covering two Olympics -- the 1996 games in Atlanta and the 2000 games in Sydney, Australia.
Len began his broadcast career in his home state of Ohio -- first on the radio in Cleveland, then came the switch to television news in Toledo. His career journey took him to WDSU-TV in New Orleans, KOMO-TV in Seattle and back to New Orleans to KHOU's sister station WWL. Then it was off to New York where he was a correspondent for Dateline NBC and later anchored the evening newscasts at WNYW-Fox 5 in New York.
Len is a big supporter of young people, He was in the Big Brother program in New Orleans, and has mentored numerous students over the years.
Len and his wife are tennis buffs and avid sports fans. They also have a passion for travel.
Len is a graduate of Ashland University in Ohio.
