Carolyn Mungo
Carolyn Mungo joined KHOU
as a reporter in December 1999. She began her career in Austin and worked
in Minneapolis and Phoenix before moving to Houston.
Mungo has received 15 Emmy awards for journalistic excellence. The Texas AP and The Press Club of Dallas also named her Reporter of the Year in 2001 and 2002. She has three Edward R. Murrow awards for reporting and two Gold World Medals from the New York Film
Festival.
Mungo is a graduate of Illinois State University. She is married and
has two daughters.
