HOUSTON – The Houston International Festival is bringing a preview of Argentine culture to eight at-risk schools across town starting with YES Prep Northside on Tuesday afternoon.
Dance company Luna Argentina will present gaucho folk dancing and tango for an assembly of 130 students. On Friday, the group will visit Travis Elementary, followed by Sherman/Crawford Elementary on April 4 and Clemente Martinez Elementary on April 5.
Luna Argentina will be performing on all four days of the Houston International Festival, April 21, 22, 28, 29.
The Argentine Tango Club will also be visiting Milby High School on April 10.
