HOUSTON – A lucky group of middle school students got a sneak peek of what’s to come at the 2012 Houston International Festival and were even taught some smooth moves as a bonus Wednesday.
Houston’s top tango couple Mauro Marcone and Elizabeth Wingfield of the Argentine Tango Club taught a group of select students at Marshall Middle School some intensive dance routines. The experience gave the teens a taste of South American culture, which is spotlighted at this year’s festival.
The students would perform the routine later for a group of eight grade fine arts magnet students during an assembly.
