HOUSTON – University of Houston students have overwhelmingly approved a referendum to allocate money towards the construction of a new football stadium in addition to updating other athletic facilities.
The referendum asked students if they would approve allocating part of their fees towards building a new football stadium, update Hofheinz Pavilion and improve other existing athletic facilities.
In the largest turnout in UH history, 7,334 out of 9,923 students voted yes, a 73.9 percent approval vote.
