SEALY, Texas—The cities of Katy and Sealy are fighting back against the Army’s decision to end its contract with a local company.
The cities have formed a task force to dig into the potential closure of the BAE Systems plant in Sealy.
The plant has been building medium-tactical vehicles for the Army for 17 years.
But now, the Army has decided to get its vehicles built by a different company in Wisconsin.
The task force is fighting the decision because BAE Systems contributes millions to the state’s economy and employs 3,000 residents.
