KATY, Texas — A man was arrested Saturday in connection with the hit-and-run death of an elderly woman in Katy, Harris County investigators said.
Irene Bourgeois, 78, was walking across the 400 block of South Mason Road around 6:30 p.m. Thursday when she was hit. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses said the driver of a dark-colored truck, possibly a green Ford F-150, fled the scene southbound on South Mason. One witness said the truck had damage in the back and a “BROWNING” sticker on the back window.
Cory Christopher Bonnefin was arrested and charged with accident involving injury. He was being held in the Harris County Detention Facility awaiting his court appearance.
