HOUSTON – A Louisiana man is wanted for sexually assaulting a woman he met at a Walmart in Kemah.
Michael Earl Richmond was charged with sexual assault of an adult, a felony.
According to court documents, Richmond met the victim on the online dating site plentyoffish.com and exchanged phone numbers with her.
After talking on the phone a few times, Richmond and the woman agreed to meet on December 29 at a Walmart located at 255 FM518.
Police said when they met up Richmond got into the woman’s vehicle and she drove to Nassau Bay Park in the 18900 block of Upper Bay Road. The woman reportedly parked and leaned her seat back to get more comfortable while they talked.
Authorities said Richmond began to rub her inner thigh. The victim told him to stop because they had just met and pushed his hand away, but he ignored her requests.
Police said Richmond then unzipped his pants, got on top of the woman, and pulled her pants down. She reportedly told him to stop and get up, but he began forcibly having sex with her.
According to court documents, Richmond put his hands around the woman’s neck and choked her. He told the woman that he would hurt her if she tried to leave or do anything other than what he told her.
Police said the woman drove back to the Walmart and Richmond got back in his truck and drove off.
After the victim reported the incident to police, officers interviewed Richmond, who admitted to having sex with the woman against her will.
Police said he is still on the loose. His bond was set at $30,000.
