HOUSTON—Employees and a few customers enjoying a Valentine’s dinner rushed out of a popular steakhouse in the Galleria area after the building caught fire late Tuesday, according to the Houston Fire Department.

The fire broke out at Sullivan’s Steakhouse on Westheimer at Westcreek around 11:50 p.m.
HFD arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the roof. They made a fast attack and got the fire under control.
HFD said when the fire started in the kitchen, some of the employees attempted to put it out, but it quickly got out of hand. The fire spread up the wall and went through the roof.
The restaurant had closed for the evening, but there were a few remaining customers finishing their dinner. They were quickly ushered out of the burning building.  No injuries were reported.
HFD managed to keep the fire contained to the kitchen area.  The restaurant will be closed a few days for repairs.
